La Vanguardia: Healthy Poke Earns €800,000 in One Year

The start-up Healthy Poke, which aims to promote the healthy Hawaiian food culture known as “poke” in Spain, will close the year with the opening of five restaurants and is on track to reach €800,000 in turnover in just twelve months, 50 percent of which will come from takeaway food.

The company, supported by Juan Roig’s Lanzadera accelerator, has opened three restaurants in Madrid that combine traditional Hawaiian poke with a healthy spirit, as the product it offers is low in fat and preservatives and is served in recyclable materials.

Healthy Poke will also launch a fourth location in Madrid in September, a workshop to supply the other restaurants, also offering takeaway service, and will open its first restaurant in Valencia in December, according to a statement released by the company.
